Ann: Christina! I am convinced spontaneous combustion is caused by an accumulation of cat hair on one's clothing! The electrostatic properties1 of the fur could be the catalysts of some, if not most of these incidents.
What are your thoughts?
Christina: ...I shall get a cat and find out!
Ann: Oh, but we need you for this interview!
Christina: Dang,... fine.
Ann: I picture scientists rubbing people with cats...
Christina: That'd be pretty kinky!
Ann: Speaking of combustion, did you have anyone in mind when you wrote "Fire Escape?" Or any place?
Christina: The song was written in our lockout. There was a flyer on the wall there that said: "There will be no fire escape from Hell". When Dave (guitarist) started to play a riff, we all jumped in... just went with it. It’s about when people get too big for their britches.
Ann: I'm glad someone's not afraid to call people out on it! Dave is an awesome guitarist! Whoa!
Christina: Oh heck yea! Dave's been playing for 30 yrs.
Ann: And you are a busy lady from what I hear. One band is not enough?
Christina: Yes I have two … Evile Annie and 'Nightmares'. Nightmares is my baby, but oh shit how I love to perform with Evile Annie! Tons of fun!
Ann: What is next for I Still Have Nightmares?
Christina: We are going into recording mode. We have 14 songs to record. I'm really excited about this new album! The song "Fire escape" was written 4 years ago, but we were barely able to release it because of drama. This album is going to show a new side that has evolved. Jon, who is the drummer will play bass and drums on recordings. Dave will play the guitar, and I will sing, of course. The three of us are the core.
Ann: I can’t wait! (put me in a strait jacket in the meantime!)
Ann: I hear you are also a life coach? I've always wanted one of those! What got you into that?
Ann: I hear you are also a life coach? I've always wanted one of those! What got you into that?
Christina: I got into life coaching because I enjoy talking to people, but I mostly love to listen. I pretty much go with a rhythm. Realizing who you really are, and just going for it. Failing a ton, but just finding what you love.
Ann: Aww, you get to help people find their rhythm!
Christina: Exactly. It’s about overcoming roadblocks. Some people have no idea what is blocking them. It is mostly to do with self esteem and negative thoughts.
Ann: That settles it! We must set something on fire!
Christina: Nice! Burn!!
Christina sent us some more 'fire' songs!:
"Fire Woman" “Light my Fire” “Burn the Witch” "Great Balls of Fire "
